At the Clayton Community Center, you can enjoy the use of a gymnasium, walking track, and fitness center, plus access to art and culture classes, open gym sports, and fitness classes and other atheltic programs.

Clayton is also home to two beautiful greenway systems, the Sam’s Branch Greenway and the Clayton River Walk on the Neuse. Sam’s Branch Greenway leads to the River Walk, which follows along the Neuse River and connects to the Neuse River Trail in Raleigh. This 30+ mile trail extends from Clayton to Falls Lake Dam in Raleigh and is part of the 1,000+ mile Mountains to Sea Trail spanning North Carolina.
